Eney is a proactive AI Assistant for Mac by MacPaw (Ukraine) that launched as a public beta in May 2025 via Setapp, following its unveiling at CES 2025. Rather than just answering questions, Eney is designed to proactively complete tasks across different Mac apps—such as managing calendar events, converting files, drafting emails, or creating meeting notes—leveraging connectors to services like Gmail, Notion, Linear, and Google Docs. Technically, Eney combines Fine-Tuned models running locally on the device (primarily local since a technology update in late 2025, including collaboration with Liquid AI) with cloud backend processing for complex, multi-step tasks. The product remains in beta phase (exclusively via Setapp), with a broader public release planned for later.
