Paperclip is an Open Source orchestration platform (Node.js server with React UI) that manages teams of existing AI agents (e.g., Claude Code, Codex, OpenClaw, Cursor, Gemini CLI) as an organized "company" with org chart, roles, budgets, objective chains, and release processes. The software does not build agents itself, but coordinates existing agent runtimes via adapters, logs tool calls in an immutable audit log, and automatically pauses agents upon reaching a budget limit. The core product is MIT-licensed, free, and self-hosted (locally or on your own infrastructure); additionally, Paperclip.inc offers a separate, paid hosted cloud offering (€10/month) of the same codebase. The project is developed by Paperclip Labs, Inc.
