Krea 2 is Krea's first in-house foundation image model — a 12-billion-parameter Diffusion Transformer (DiT) focused on aesthetic diversity and precise stylistic control. It supports style transfer via reference images and moodboards, generating images at native 2K resolution. Released as a web platform (krea.ai) and as open weights on Hugging Face in two variants: Krea 2 RAW (base checkpoint for LoRA fine-tuning) and Krea 2 Turbo (8-step distilled model for fast inference). It is a text-to-image generation platform with advanced creative direction capabilities, not a conventional image editor.
