MongoDB Atlas is a fully managed, multi-cloud database service (DBaaS) by MongoDB, running on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud across 125+ regions. It provides natively integrated vector search and full-text search for gen AI/LLM applications without a separate vector database. Atlas supports flexible cluster tiers from free shared clusters to dedicated M700 instances with automatic sharding, backups, and failover. The service is based on the MongoDB document model and currently supports MongoDB 8.0 as the latest major version.
