yapyap is a locally operating voice and meeting recorder for desktop computers. The application records conversations, transcribes them, identifies speakers (diarization), and creates summaries and action items—all processing steps run completely locally on your own machine without cloud connectivity or user account. Optionally, external AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Groq can be integrated, but this is not required. Additionally, there is a mobile companion app ("yapyap Go") that synchronizes recordings with the desktop computer via Wi-Fi without transmitting data over the internet.
